Throne in the Dark by A.K. Caggiano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
So, I now have a massive author crush on Ashley Caggiano.
I devoured this trilogy. And then read it again. It is seriously perfection. The dialogue was witty, the character development believable and powerful. Just enough snarky, fourth-wall breaking to be funny without bashing the reader over the head with the wink-winks.
World building – chef’s kiss. I loved the Everdarque/dark and the twist at the end, how grudgingly good Damian is, and how much fun he has being evil. Amma is sunshine without being saccharine. The slow burn was torturous. I wanted to punch Xander in the face every time he popped up.
I also need a novella about Diane and Zagadoth meeting ASAP. I mean, come on. Sexy hate for real.
I just love these books so much. Excuse me while I fan girl.
